Why Do I Keep Dreaming About The Same Person?
Introduction
Dreams are mirrors into our subconscious mind.
Our subconscious mind contains the hidden feelings and emotions that exist within the inner workings of ourselves.
Dream analysis can be a powerful tool to get an insight into what’s going on inside the corners of your mind, what your true desires are, and what your motives and intentions are.
Sometimes dreams may give you insight into another person or the future.
Dreams shouldn’t ever be taken at face value because the way our subconscious mind works is different than how our conscious mind works.
Our conscious mind uses reasoning and structure, beginnings and ends, but the subconscious operates differently.
This is why your dream may seem to have a very clear message sometimes but also include a lot of nonsense that leaves you unsure of what a dream truly means.

One of the most common themes within dreams is recurring people.
If you have someone who continuously makes an appearance in your dreams, there is likely a reason they are there.
There are countless reasons why a specific person may appear, depending on the relationship you have with them, what role they have in your life, their characteristics and qualities, and any unresolved experiences you’ve shared with them.
Your subconscious mind associates people with emotions, and depending on which emotion this person is associated with, it can give clarity on something you may be suppressing or ignoring.
Interconnectedness
We are all connected because we come from the same source.
Since we are all connected, our consciousness is also connected.
This is why psychics, mediums, and anyone with extrasensory abilities are able to access information about other people.
Our minds and consciousness are connected, sometimes referred to as the collective consciousness.
When we experience a recurrence of a specific person in our dreams this may be because this person is thinking about us.
They may be investing a lot of their mental energy into thoughts about you, and you are experiencing this connection through your dreams.
Pay attention to the role they play in their dreams.
Are they asking for help? Are they an antagonist?
Are they somewhere in the background?
Once you analyze what role they play in your dreams, you may be able to figure out what’s going on in their life currently.
It could be that they miss you, or that they need your help, or they could just have a message for you.
What It Really Means When You Dream About The Same Person
Now, you may be experiencing the same person in your dreams because they represent something that’s unresolved within your subconscious mind.
If this person is angry or destructive in real life, they may appear in your dreams when your subconscious mind wants you to see the anger and destruction within yourself.
If the person you’re dreaming about is loving, kind, and someone you admire—your subconscious may be trying to show you these qualities exist within yourself as well. Analyze this person and figure out how you truly feel about them.
What you think about their personality, how they look, and how you feel when you’re around them.
Then, try to figure out if how you feel about them is similar to how you feel about yourself.
If this is the case, then it is time for shadow work and begin to resolve these issues within yourself.

More Meanings
If you are constantly dreaming of someone from your past, you must look back and figure out how you felt during that time frame.
People from your childhood and youth usually represent a time when you felt good about life and felt freer.
As we get older or go through stressful seasons of life, subconsciously we are craving peace, freedom, and light-heartedness.
Your subconscious may be trying to provide you with someone from your past in order to fulfill the desire you have to feel whatever feelings and emotions you felt during the time they were in your life.
It may be helpful to reconnect with your inner child and pick up hobbies you had when you were younger.
Watch your favorite movie from when you were a child, or make any favorite dishes.
Reconnecting with your child-self or past self, in general, may help you attune back into a more comfortable energy.

Trauma & Dreams
Another important reason you may be dreaming of someone from your past is trauma.
When we experience trauma, it hides deep within the corners of our being, and if we ignore it for too long or never fully heal from it, our subconscious shows signs of it in our dreams.
Without learning to accept, heal, let go, and forgive—our subconscious will hang on to these feelings, and they will affect us in one way or another.
If you’ve been wronged or hurt by someone, it’s common for them to show up in your dreams because they’ve left such an impact on you.
If you’ve hurt someone in the past and have feelings of regret, you may also dream of them, because your feelings of regret are so strong.
If trauma is the root cause of someone recurring in your dreams, learning to forgive yourself and the person involved is a great way to resolve this issue.
Practice forgiveness for yourself, accept what happened, and work towards moving forward in the best way you can.
