What is the spiritual meaning of waking up at 3am?

Introduction

Waking up at particular times of the night and looking at your clock, only to realize that this is happening time and again, is a spiritual sign that has a personal meaning for you.

The bible holds many references to time and how this applies to life.

But what does it mean for you?

Signs from God can take many forms.

They can be the biblical events of old or simple things like a feather landing at your feet.

Angels are there to guide us when times are hard and to celebrate with us when we are showing gratitude to the Lord.

Their main motivation is to ensure that you are joyful, peaceful, and fulfilled. So, they may need to intervene a little in the good times and the bad.

The Biblical meaning of 3.when god wakes you up at 3am

The number three is mentioned 467 times in the Bible, but don’t worry, this doesn’t mean there are 467 reasons for you seeing it, though!

It is mentioned more than any other number, and there is a reason for this.

In Hebrew, the number 3 means harmony, new beginnings, and wholeness.

In the Bible, 3 is a number that signifies good omens and is a powerful symbol of the Trinity.

It is a number charged with authority, instructions, and guidance.

There are many references to 3 throughout Biblical teaching:

  • Jesus rose on the third day
  • God repeating himself 3 times throughout the scriptures
  • 3 kings bearing 3 gifts
  • The family of 3 – Mary, Joseph, and Jesus
  • The Holy Trinity
  • The three angels of Revelation.

Just to name a few.

What does waking at 3am mean for you spiritually? What the Bible Says About Waking at 3am

#1 When Jesus died at 3 pm, the world turned black.

Jesus died at 3pm during an eclipse. As is the way with time, each hour has an opposite.

The inverse of 3pm is 3am, and the inverse of dark is light.

If you are waking at this time every night, your Angel guides could be saying to you that all is about to change for the better.

Along with the Hebrew meaning of new beginnings, harmony, and wholeness, this new light is entering your darkest hour and bringing the power of God to you.

Sometimes, when our life is about to change, it can feel very unsettling, as things are coming to an end that no longer serve us.

This could be things in your relationship, your professional life, or your spirituality as a whole.

Whatever is meant for you right now, God and his Angels are keeping an eye on you.

They are bringing divine light to guide you to a better place in your life.

Embrace the change and know that God will always catch you.

#3 You have access to God at any hour of the day.biblical meaning of waking up at 3am spiritual meaning

By waking you in the middle of the night, this could be to remind you that God is not only accessible to you in certain places or times.

God teaches us that he is not only there during worship, but he is out there in the world all the time, or at home with you in the middle of the night.

Waking at this time could be a sign that God is with you always.

If you are feeling alone and you aren’t sure where to turn in those tiny hours of the morning, God is with you.

Are you dreaming of things that you don’t know how to tackle or solve?

God is with you.

Are you struggling right now with the heaviness of life?

Do not fear.

God is with you.

I know that it is a simple point, but the message may be just as simple.

There is never a time where He is not there for you.

Use this time to connect and find solace in His love.

What better time of the day to relax and be there with God, than the middle of the night when you have no responsibilities and can give your whole attention to receiving His love?

There are many reasons why you could be waking at 3am, but I think that the overarching theme here is that you are not alone.

Whatever it is that you are worried about, however, things may seem, in the early hours of the morning, you are safe and loved.

If things are about to change for the better or you need some spiritual guidance, your faith is the most important aspect in all of this.

Try to make time for yourself, to connect with your faith.

Who better to ask for guidance than the Angels or even God Himself?

#4 Virtue and DiligenceIde Were Were Nita Ochun Lyrics and Meaning

In Christianity, virtues are not just moral qualities or character traits. They are, in essence, habits of the heart, deeply ingrained attitudes that guide our actions and shape our lives.

Among these virtues, diligence and persistence hold a special place.

They represent the determination to do what is right and the tenacity to keep doing it, even when it’s difficult or inconvenient.

Waking up at 3 am can be seen as an integration of these virtues.

It’s not an easy task to rouse oneself from the comfort of sleep in the dead of night. Yet, this act can serve as a powerful symbol of our commitment to spiritual maturation.

It’s about making a conscious choice to seek God, even when the world around us is asleep.

As we go into the significance of this practice, let’s first explore the virtue of diligence.

In Proverbs 10:4, the Bible says, “Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.” This verse doesn’t just extol the virtue of hard work in a material sense. It also underscores the spiritual richness that comes from diligently seeking God.Ide Were Were Nita Ochun Lyrics and Meaning

When we wake up at 3 am to pray, we are practicing spiritual diligence.

We are choosing to invest our time and energy in nurturing our relationship with God.

We are demonstrating our willingness to go the extra mile in our spiritual journey, even if it means sacrificing some hours of sleep.

Next, let’s turn our attention to the virtue of persistence. Luke 18:1 shares a parable about a persistent widow who kept pleading for justice until she received it. The message here is clear – persistence in prayer can lead to answers.

Waking at 3 am is a testament to this persistence.

Each time we rise in the middle of the night to commune with God, we are expressing our relentless pursuit of His presence.

We are showing that we won’t let anything – not even the allure of sleep – deter us from our spiritual quest.

Of course, the act of waking up at 3 am is not a magic formula for spiritual growth.

It’s not about clock-watching or following a rigid routine. But, it’s about the heart behind the action.

It’s about the desire to seek God wholeheartedly, the diligence to persist in this quest, and the faith to believe that our efforts will bear fruit.

Therefore, waking up at 3 am can be a meaningful spiritual practice, but it’s not the hour of the day that matters most.

What truly counts is the virtue and diligence we bring to our spiritual journey.

Whether we wake at dawn or dusk, whether we pray in silence or sing out loud, what matters is that we do so with a sincere and seeking heart.

For as Jeremiah 29:13 assures us, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
