What is the spiritual significance of being born BREECH?

Breech Birth – spiritual meaning:

Introduction

A breech birth is a type of childbirth in which the baby is born buttocks or feet first, rather than head first.

This occurs in about 3-4% of all pregnancies.

A vaginal breech birth is possible, but most breech babies are delivered by cesarean section (C-section).

Breech births are more likely to be complicated than vertex (head-first) births.

There are three main types of breech presentation: frank breech (buttocks first, with legs extended up), complete breech (legs folded up under the buttocks), and footling breech (one or both feet present first). What Are the Risks of a Baby Being Born Breech

What Could Be the Cause of a Baby Being Born Breech?

There are many possible causes of breech birth.

One possible cause is if the baby is large.

Another possible cause is if the mother has had previous breech births.

If the pelvis is small or the umbilical cord is short, this can also lead to breech birth.

If the amniotic fluid is low, this can also be a cause. All these factors can lead to difficulty in the baby descending into the pelvis, which can lead to breech birth.

What Are the Risks of a Baby Being Born Breech?

There are several risks associated with a breech birth.

The most common complication is prolapsed umbilical cord (note – it must be dealt with immediately), which occurs when the cord comes out ahead of the baby.

This can be very dangerous and can cause the baby to suffocate.

Another risk is that the baby may become stuck in the birth canal, which can cause serious injury or even death.

Breech babies are more likely to suffer from respiratory distress syndrome and have a higher rate of stillbirth than babies who are born in the normal head-down position.

Breech births are also associated with an increased risk of placental abruption, a condition where the placenta detaches from the uterine wall prematurely. This can be life-threatening for both mother and child.

Breech Birth – spiritual meaning:

Groundedness

When a baby is born, their position in the womb can tell us a lot about their personality.

A breech birth, where the baby is born buttocks or feet first, is said to symbolize a grounded individual.

This person is someone who is practical and down-to-earth.

They are level-headed and handle stress well.

This type of person is often seen as a leader because they are able to think clearly and make decisions quickly.

While there are many positive qualities and traits associated with being born breech, there are also several challenges that this individual may face.

Because they are so grounded, they can sometimes have trouble letting go and relaxing.

It’s important for them to find ways to unwind and de-stress so that they don’t become too bogged down by the everyday grind.

Higher Perspectivebreech babies are healers

When a baby is born breech, their heads are higher up in the womb than in a traditional birth.

Because of this, it’s often believed that these children will have a much higher perspective than other children.

Growing up, they may seem to understand the world on a deeper level than their peers.

They may be considered an old soul and able to handle more of life than they should for their age.

Later in life, these people are often drawn toward spirituality because their higher perspective allows them to see past the illusions of life and understand what’s truly important within their experience.

Uniquenessbreech baby superstitions

There are many different superstitions and beliefs surrounding pregnancy, childbirth, and babies.

One belief is that the way a baby is positioned in the womb can symbolize their personality.

For example, breech babies are said to be unique individuals.

Breech babies are born bottom-first instead of head-first.

In ancient times, this was thought to be a sign that the baby was ill-fated. However, nowadays, we know that breech births are relatively common and usually pose no threat to the baby or mother.

Despite this knowledge, the belief that breech babies are special individuals persists.

Many people believe that because they’re different from most babies, they must be unique personalities.

Rebellious Personalityborn breech personality

There are some who believe that being born breech symbolizes a rebellious personality.

Those who are born breech are often seen as independent, strong-willed, and even a bit rebellious.

They are not afraid to go against the grain and are often unafraid of taking risks.

While this may not be true for everyone born breech, it is certainly a stereotype.

Whether or not it is accurate, those who are born breech often end up living up to the expectations that come with the label.

A Long lifebreech babies are healers

Being born breech can sometimes extend the time it takes for a mother to give birth.

Complications can arise from being born breech, and more caution must be taken during the procedure.

Because of this length of birth, many believe that this also extends the life one is alive.

People born breech often live long lives, and they have a lot of advantages over people born in the traditional way.

Connection to the Divine Feminine

The connection between breech birth and the divine feminine is a subtle one, rooted in the very essence of non-conformity.

The typical birthing process, with the baby emerging head-first, is seen as the standard, the norm. But a breech birth defies this convention, echoing the divine feminine’s inherent qualities of non-conformity and fluidity.

Similarly, as the divine feminine challenges traditional structures, so does a breech birth challenge traditional birthing norms.

This connection to the divine feminine may endow those born breech with a deep resonance with feminine energies.

These energies are not confined to gender; they represent a certain kind of power – nurturing, intuitive, and emotional.

These individuals may find themselves naturally empathetic, able to understand and share the feelings of another intuitively.

This empathy goes beyond mere ‘feeling for’ someone; it is a deep, spiritual connection that can bridge hearts and souls.

Intuition is another gift from the divine feminine. Those born breech may have an uncanny ability to ‘just know’ things without conscious reasoning.

This intuition can guide them throughout their lives, helping them make decisions aligned with their highest good. It’s as if they have an internal compass, always pointing them to the truth.

Emotional intelligence is another aspect that may be heightened in those born breech. They might have a greater capacity to manage and understand their emotions and those of others.

This emotional acuity can enable them to navigate relationships and situations with grace and wisdom, fostering harmonious connections with the world around them.

The Symbolism of Inversion

The symbolism of inversion, as represented by breech birth, is a powerful one.

It speaks of a world turned upside down, of the ordinary becoming extraordinary, and of the accepted norms being challenged.

This inversion is not just a physical reality but a spiritual metaphor that can shape a person’s life journey.

In the context of breech birth, this inversion is evident from the very onset of life. The baby, instead of following the ‘standard’ path of emerging head first, chooses a different route, coming feet or buttocks first.

This physical inversion could hint at a soul ready to see the world from a fresh perspective, unburdened by preconceived notions.

The aspect of inversion is deeply rooted in various spiritual traditions, including Buddhism. Here, inversion symbolizes the overturning of conventional wisdom.

What we perceive as reality is usually merely an illusion, shaped by our societal norms and personal biases. To reach a state of enlightenment, one has to transcend these illusions, invert the perceived reality, and discover the deeper truths beneath.

Therefore, being born breech suggests a predisposition to such spiritual questioning. These individuals naturally question societal norms, driven by an innate curiosity to understand the ‘why’ behind the ‘what.’

This constant questioning can lead them on a path of spiritual exploration, pushing them to seek answers beyond the obvious.

  3. I was born breech too, as coming from Hindu family. There was a belief that those born like that have something about healing. Those breech people help those with back sprain or muscular injuries. whenever someone in the village who has a sprain or muscle injury in the back, they called my dad because I was a breech child. I help them, it was technique that I do with my feet that came out first when I was born. it is three days of the process that someone who believes in this taught me. She was an old spiritual lady from my village. I didn’t know at first because I was around 12 or 13 years old something. I was shocked whenever I use that technique on those people, They get relief after three days. I was shocked at that and I didn’t know how is it possible. I still don’t know. I didn’t even understand what a breech child is at that time. 22 years later, I found out the meaning of it.

  4. 1941 I was born breech too. I think I do have healing hands, so I was told. When my husband was very sick, and on dialysis, he developed sores and I was able to heal them before his visits to the doctor. The doctor told me to continue doing whatever you’re doing.

  6. Born frank (?) breech, 1965, youngest of 9. My oldest sibling was also born breech, but with tragically different results. His oxygen was cut off, and he has severe cerebral palsy and has lived in assisted living his whole life. I was delivered via the Webster method, turned around by the doctor. My mother always crowed, “Another tragedy was averted!” But I always think to myself, “Was it?”

I have suffered debilitating depression my entire life. I was physically challenged, never athletic, respiratory issues, and weight issues. In the 70s, ADHD was unknown territory, and I was always labeled “Bright but doesn’t apply themselves,” “Behavioral problems”, “Talks back, doesn’t respect authority.” Guess what? Still don’t.

But I was immensely creative, artistic, devoured books, watched the news every night with my parents, and musically gifted. And I’m empathic almost to the point of madness, I pick up on energies like a sponge. I’ve read that breech babies are the “rebel babies”, and boy, I’ve been one since that birth. I never fit in, I was always fringe.

And another very interesting truth– I can’t be upside down. It freaks me out to no end. I could never hang upside down on monkey bars, or do a loopey roller coaster. I mentioned this once to a friend, and she asked, “Were you born breech?” Stunned, I said yes, I was. She said, “That explains a lot. I notice the way you sit too– you have all this furniture, and you always sit on the floor, knees up. That’s comforting to you, right?” All I could do was nod, I was so surprised.
