It’s not inherently sinful to read the Book of Enoch, but it should be approached with discernment, considering its complex history and varied interpretations.
Introduction
The Book of Enoch, also known as the Ethiopian Book of Enoch or 1 Enoch, is an ancient text not included in the Hebrew Bible.
The text contains a collection of prophecies, stories, and teachings attributed to the biblical figure Enoch, described in the Book of Genesis as the great-grandfather of Noah.
Among the various stories and prophecies, perhaps the most notable ones relate to the origin of demons and Nephilim and the explanation of the thousand-year reign of the Messiah.
Other prominent mentions include the description of the Genesis flood, why it was necessary, and the reason why some angels fell from heaven.
While the Book of Enoch is not considered part of the canon of the Hebrew Bible or the Christian Old Testament, it has been widely read and studied by Christians for centuries.
In today’s modern world, the Book of Enoch has inspired many science fiction writers and other works of fiction due to its depiction of strange creatures.
The book has also given rise to countless theories that are widely circulating online.
Should Christians read The Book of Enoch?

The fact is that there is no correct answer to this question, as different Christian denominations and individual believers may have different views on the matter.
Some might say it is perfectly fine as it might add to their understanding of the Bible.
Other orthodox believers might say that it shouldn’t be read because it is not the word of God.
Before deciding on an answer to the above questions, here are a few points you might want to consider:

The text was widely read and quoted by early Christian writers, such as the apostle Jude, who cites the Book of Enoch in his letter.
The Book of Enoch has also been influential in some Eastern Orthodox and Ethiopian Orthodox churches, where it is considered to be part of the canon of scripture.

I read the Book of Enoch and it is fantastic. How else will we learn? We already have the ability to know the difference between good and evil already as we ate from that particular tree in Eden. Make up your own mind but consider this about Enoch: He was loved so much by God that Enoch was taken and supposedly did not die a natural death. Do you really think that someone so close to God and so beloved by God was not Divinely inspired? It sounds like a human made the decision not to include this book doesn’t it?
I agree
I totally agree! It is said that the fallen angels taught things that we were supposed to learn in later times. I’ve always wondered how different things came about. Humans have a way of pushing away things that they don’t fully understand or things that don’t fit their safe narrative. I’d definitely put my trust on someone that was closer to GOD than I am.
I totally agree that Eno was close to God and taken by God I believe his writings God‘s ways are past finding out, and only God is sovereign and does what he will and reveal his secrets to whom so he will they mighty God.
